The heads of nymphs play different roles during fishing. They attract fish by their flashes and color and thanks to their weight enable the nymphs to sink quickly to fishing zone and keep the flies in the right zone.
Tungsten has a specific weight of 18 kg/dm3 which is nearly twice as much as lead. Therefore, your flies and can be slimmer and smaller and more attractive to fish. Tungsten nymphs are absolutely essential for fishing in deep pools and fast streams.
