Squirmy Hybrid

The Squirmy Hybrid fly is a cross between a buggy soft hackle, and a squirmy wormy. Who could think of a better combination. This is one of our hottest new flies, just new for Spring 2018 but sure to be in the line-up for years.

It is first and foremost, a shallow and clear water carp fly. It is tied on a size 8, short shank hook that will hold up to carp. It also features bead chain eyes so it sinks pretty well but still light enough to where it typically won't spook the fish on entry. Of course, the buggy soft hackle and a bit of sparkle that adorns the Squirmy Wormy tail is what really attracts the fish. This is turning out to be one of our favorite carp flies!

That being said, it's also an amazing bluegill fly. Panfish go nuts over this thing. Again, quickly becoming our #1 selling sub-surface fly for bluegill and panfish. Simply Killer!

Also some folks out there using it in place of a standard San Juan Worm or Squirmy Wormie on trout. Sure to gain some respect here also as a trout fly.
