A Soft Hackle Hare's Ear Jig fly is probably one of the first flies a Euro or Hybrid "nympher" should have.....that and a pheasant tail. Of course, we all know how well a Hare's Ear works, as well as a soft hackle. Combine the two and put them on a jig hook with a tungsten bead and it should probably be illegal.
These are basic soft hackle Hare's Ear Nymphs with a sparse partridge collar and a bit of ice dub on the collar for the hot spot. They are extremely good looking flies and flat out produce fish. This may become one of our best selling flies of all time.
