SolarEz Medium UV Resin

SolarEz UV Resins are regarded by many professional fly tyers as the best that money can buy.

Featured here is a medium viscosity (like 90 wt. gear oil). It is flexible and provides a tough finish. It offers excellent application on foam, terrestrial and articulated flies, saltwater flies, realistic flies and swimmers. It is also superb for wader repair or for a knot coating.

A clear, non-yellowing UV-cure aliphatic urethane designed for medium to thick coatings on virtually any fly tying material. Cure response is in seconds upon irradiation by sunlight or artificial UV light source such as a UV flashlight or torch. The resulting polymer has great hardness, gloss and tack-free finish in under 30 seconds Application: Create large parts (>3/16” diameter), bug carapace, large thorax, eyeballs, etc from scratch. Significant ballast for weighting lures and flies with this formula. Apply all UV curable products in full shade or indoors, flash with UV Flashlight for 30 secs, continue working on fly. To completely cure resin, expose to sunlight or use flashlight for about 3 minutes.

Application Tip:
Apply in shade. Irradiate with intense UV light for ONE SECOND. Wait 15 seconds. Irradiate again for one second. Wait. Complete with 30 full seconds UV light. This technique will reduce heat & shrinkage.
