Scott has been designing and crafting fly rods from fiberglass for over 40 years and their new Scott F Series fly rod represents their finest work yet. Built with a new highly unidirectional S2 glass weave, the rods are light, yet have enough mass to deliver casts with smooth precision. They bend deeply, yet recover quickly so you always feel in control. The best part just might be the fun you'll have accurately placing flies and playing smaller fish on these rods.
With the all new F series, Scott brought together new slimmer tapers with E-glass and their redesigned hollow internal ferrule to set a new standard for smooth, deep flexing rods. And, even though you can cast them alot farther, these rods are optimized to cast beautiful accurate loops under 20 feet. By carefully controlling the distribution of mass and stiffness, they created very light fiberglass rods that are stable and form sweet loops with just a few feet of line out of the tip. That way you can accurately cast into the next plunge pool or along overgrown banks even on creeks you can step across. That's not something your graphite rods can do easily.
Features
• Easy loading for close quarters fishing
• Ultra light for feeling smaller fish
• The ultimate creek fishing rod
• Scott's special E-glass helps to build short, light line rods that have moderate progressive actions. That means you can cast accurately in close and enjoy the pull of a small fish
• Featuring Scott's re-invented hollow internal ferrules- the ferrule is matched to the sections it connects and creates a blank with continuous tapers. Yes, they take ten times longer to hand build than a sleeve ferrule but the results can be seen and felt. Now even stronger, more flexible and over 20% lighter.
• These Scott fiberglass fly rods of course feature Scott's Unconditional Lifetime Warranty and come with a handsome aluminum rod tube.
