Of course, these work for the Blue Winged Olive hatches that are seen throughout the world but we also use them for the small Sulphers that hatch around here in May and June. Also a great choice period when fish are eating small bugs of any kind, just below the surface. This fly is a great choice fished alone or behind a dry fly. A staple on the tailwaters where small bugs are the primary food source.
