Cortland Crown 5/7 Fly Reel

Cortland’s Crown series mid-arbor disc drag fly reel is machined from aircraft grade aluminum and hard anodized for corrosion resistance. The Crown 5/7 Weight reel and spare spool featured here. 

The Crown Series fly reels incorporate a light-weight design (see below) while providing structural strength and durability. The center disc drag features a wide range of adjustment with low start up inertia for increased line protection. The counter weighted mid-arbor spool allows for increased line/backing capacity and incorporates a locking knob for a tight tolerance. Easy change left/right retrieve. Cortland branded neoprene reel bag included.

***Due to the fact that these mid-arbor reels carry a ton of backing with the rated line sizes, they tend to get a bit on the heavy side, although marketed as "lightweight". Just want to be clear and transparent on that fact. Actually, the fact that they are a bit on the heavy side when loaded, is one of the reasons that we really LIKE these reels. Lighter isn't always better of preferred, especially on Euro and longer nymph rods.
