Charlie Bisharat's now legendary Pole Dancer topwater fly is truly one of the most innovative, and effective topwater flies of all-time. Hands-down. This fly "walks the dog" like very few other flies have ever been able to.
For years and years, conventional anglers have enticed fish with this side-to-side "dancing" action with plastic and wooden lures. Pencil poppers, top dogs, skitter pops...and most famously, the Heddon Zara Spook.....and with great success!
Fly tiers from around the world have tried and tried to figure out how to design a pattern that would create this walk-the-dog-type action. Charlie Bisharat finally figured it out, and now you can reap the rewards!
The shape of the Pole Dancer’s foam-injected head is what creates the side-to-side movement. It elicits the most vicious surface strikes you wlll ever see on a topwater fly. The fish simply want to crush it.
Tied with s synthetic material, some flash, a worm rattle and Estaz behind the head, the fly moves as if it were alive in the water....and the fish take notice. It is sold in two sizes.....3/0 for larger species, saltwater and peacock bass, and size 2 for standard freshwater species. The real secret though is in the head design...that's what makes the fly dance in the water!!!
All you need to do is cast it out (on a stout leader of course), put the rod tip inthe water, and using constant, one foot or longer stips.....get the fly dancing. It does most of the work!
Bisharat's Pole Dancer Fly- sold here in the size 3/0 and the Chartreuse colorway. This fly is approximately 6 inches long. ****This may well be the most deadly surface fly for Peacock Bass....EVER!!!!!
