Fly tying is very rewarding. It provides the angler an opportunity to tie flies specific to their local rivers and lakes. Being able to tweak a flies size, color and profile allows one to be more successful on the water. Plus, catching a fish on a fly you tied is a great feeling!
This class is an introduction to fly tying. No experience is needed. You will learn about fly tying vises, tools and some basic mechanics. You will also tie two flies that incorporate these basic mechanics. You should leave this class with a general understanding of tying so you can tie basic fly patterns.
This class will be held at the shop from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. No experience is needed for this class. Vises and tools can be provided if needed. All hooks and materials will be provided. and materials.
