The Oogie Boogie is a fly tied by Russ Maddin that is designed to catch the largest fish in the river! Specifically it was tied for large trout that like to feed at night and will make a good meal for large bass as well. It is also a great pattern for the Hex hatch! Tied with foam under the fur on the head so this fly will float all day long!
The fly is tied with squirrel as the tail, a deer body wing and 2mm foam for under the wing.
The Oogie Boogie is featured here in the color tan and tied on a Ahrex FW570 size #4 hook and measures 2" in length.
