The King Splitsville Hex Spinner is a great choice for either the adult or spinner of the legendary Hexagenia mayfly. Proven itself on the hallowed waters of Michigan as well as here in Ohio on our streams and lakes.
This one checks all of the boxes. Long, poly spinner wings (which can be trimmed if needed), a long segmented body, moose mane tail and a "hackle stacker" style hackle wing. This fly, for the most part, is virtually impossible to sink and creates a great profile on the water's surface. Again, whether imitating the spinner OR the adult.
