The Umpqua Swimming Frog is without a doubt, hands-down one of the best surface/diver type flies for bass that there is. Both largemouth and smallmouth. This fly was actually a Dave Whitlock pattern but when they parted ways, Umpqua decided to steal it from him and call it their own. We won't get into that argument though.
A very sexy frog/diver/hair bug with deer hair head, rubber legs, hackle legs and great color scheme. Makes the perfect sound and leaves a great trail of air bubbles. This fly is a go-to for our largemouth guides around here and is truly one of the best bass flies that there is. Also great for big smallies and pike love it as well.
This fly has it all and sells great for us despite the fact that they are pretty expensive. We apologize for that but Umpqua has taken advantage of the fact that this is such a great fly and they are overcharging for it....but we still can't live without it!!!!
