Our good friend, mentor and MRO Guide Jerry Darkes brings us his variation of the famous sucker spawn. He calls it the Darkes Cyclops Egg.
A sucker spawn type egg pattern that is tied with a unique nylon yarn that looks great in the water, but most of all, gets tangled up in their teeth so they can't spit it out. This fly also features a red bead at the front which does a great job of imitating the yolk spot...and also gets their attention.
Jerry Darkes' Cyclops Egg pattern is tied on a good Daiichi hook and sold here in a size 12. Color here is Chartreuse.
