Very important to have the proper leader when fishing a sinking or sink tip fly line!
As you may have heard us preach, your leader is probably your most important piece of gear! If your leader isn't right, nothing else matters. It's really that simple. Having the proper tapered leader and proper tippet is the single most important part of the sport!!!

One of the biggest mistakes that most folks make is that they tie on a "standard" 7-9' leader onto a sinking line. (NO more than 4-5'......ever).
